In a high-stakes operation, the Indian armed forces have successfully neutralized at least 100 terrorists under "Operation Sindoor," with the count still rising, as reported by PTI sources. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh disclosed these details during an all-party meeting on Thursday, emphasizing that the operation is ongoing.
"India will not initiate any action unless provoked by Pakistan," the Defence Minister clarified, reiterating India’s stance of defensive engagement. However, he firmly stated, "India will hit back if Pakistan strikes."
Kiren Rijiju, who also addressed the media after the meeting, stressed the importance of not revealing operational details. "It is not good to tell about the continuation of things that are going on after the first strike of Operation Sindoor," he mentioned.
The all-party meeting, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, witnessed active participation from leaders of various parties. The leaders commended the armed forces for their bravery and expressed solidarity with the government’s actions.
"Everyone has hailed and congratulated the armed forces for Operation Sindoor, and said that we will support the government and armed forces. We have received a few suggestions as well... The Defence Minister said we don't form the government just to rule," Kiren Rijiju added.
The government has been actively briefing all political parties about the success of "Operation Sindoor" and its ongoing developments. This meeting marks the second such briefing in a fortnight, a response to heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22.
